We are The Lovellers. For thirteen years we have been photographing weddings across Portugal, from Figueira da Foz to Coimbra, from Aveiro to Lousã, and beyond. Over the years our documentary work has been recognised by five of the most respected international wedding photography associations: This is Reportage, Fearless Photographers, Inspiration Photographers, Bride Association, and Wedding Photography Select. Each award honours a single photograph, captured at a real moment, with no staging.

Most of our awarded photographs are of moments. Spontaneous gestures, true expressions, irrepetible instants that happened naturally during the day. It is the kind of photography that five international associations have been recognising over the past decade.
The 31 awards on this page were earned over many years. Each one is a confirmation that we were in the right place at the right moment, with the camera pointed at the right person. No luck, just presence.

An award-winning photograph is one that an international jury of professional wedding photographers has recognised for its authenticity, visual quality, captured moment, originality, and technical mastery. Associations evaluate work according to strict documentary criteria.
How are these awards earned?
Photographers submit work to curatorial competitions or to regular panels of professional jurors. Photographs are evaluated by industry peers. Submission is typically free, depending on the association.
Is it worth choosing an award-winning wedding photographer?
Awards are an indicator of consistency and the ability to capture meaningful moments naturally. They guarantee a level of quality on the day. The decision should always be based on personal connection and consistency of portfolio with what you are looking for.
In how many associations are you awarded?
Our work is recognised in five international associations: This is Reportage, Fearless Photographers, Inspiration Photographers, Bride Association, and Wedding Photography Select. We are also members of APPImagem, the Portuguese Association of Image Professionals.
Do these awards change your price?
No. Awards are a consequence of the work, not a factor that conditions our pricing. We maintain the same pricing criteria, regardless of accumulated international recognition.
