We are The Lovellers. For thirteen years we have been photographing weddings across Portugal, from Figueira da Foz to Coimbra, from Aveiro to Lousã, and beyond. Investing in wedding photography is not paying for the day itself. We follow the day from beginning to end with discretion, attentive to the small gestures that give soul to a wedding. Our work combines the truth of reportage with an editorial aesthetic, and the care of a photographer who treats hundreds of images as if each one mattered above the rest. This balance is what five international associations have recognised, and it is the same balance we deliver to every couple. The photographs that remain are honest, considered, and made to last.

The albums are the only way to return to it with the clarity of the original moment, and they are made to last across decades, without depending on a screen. The albums we produce are designed to last for decades: archival paper, careful binding, museum-grade printing. Each album is built around the story of your day, with images chosen and laid out to be read like a book, not scrolled.

What are you really paying for in a wedding photographer?
A photographer is responsible for everything you will not have a chance to see for the rest of the day. The investment reflects years of experience, presence over the course of the day, professional equipment, careful editing of hundreds of images, post-production time, and the way the work is delivered.
What makes wedding photography age well?
Photography ages well when it captures truth instead of trends. Heavily constructed poses and overly stylised image treatments date quickly. Real moments, captured without staging, stay faithful to your wedding even decades later.
How much time does a photographer spend on your wedding?
Most people only think about the hours we are present on the day itself. But the wedding starts much earlier, with the first contact, the initial conversation, the work of preparation in the weeks before, the editing of images, the layout of the album, and the final delivery.
How far in advance should we contact a photographer?
For weddings between May and September, we recommend reaching out twelve to eighteen months in advance. Photographers with full calendars close summer dates quickly. For weddings outside the high season, six to nine months is usually enough.
How do we know if a photographer is the right choice?
The right choice comes from looking at full weddings rather than highlight images, talking to confirm the human chemistry, and checking the consistency of the work over the years. When these three things line up, the decision becomes natural.
